1. General Refund Terms

This refund policy applies to all yacht rental services and additional services provided by Eliteyachtcanada Inc. ("Company"), including but not limited to photography services, additional equipment rental, chef services, and other marine recreational services. This policy complies with British Columbia consumer protection laws and Canadian federal regulations.

2. Yacht Rental Cancellations

2.1 Cancellation by Customer

2.2 Weather-Related Cancellations

Weather Policy:
  • If weather conditions are deemed unsafe by the captain or Transport Canada marine authorities, customers may reschedule at no additional cost within 12 months
  • Full refund available if rescheduling is not possible
  • Weather determinations are final and based on Transport Canada marine safety guidelines

2.3 Mechanical Issues

Equipment Failure Policy:
  • Company will provide comparable alternative vessel at no additional cost
  • If no suitable alternative is available, full refund will be provided
  • Company is not liable for consequential damages or additional expenses

3. Additional Services Refund Policy

3.1 Photography Services

  • 48+ hours notice: Full refund
  • 24-48 hours notice: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours: No refund

3.2 Chef Services

  • 72+ hours notice: Full refund minus food costs
  • 24-72 hours notice: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours: No refund

3.3 Equipment Rental

Water Sports Equipment, Sound Systems, etc.:

  • Cancellation more than 24 hours: Full refund
  • Cancellation less than 24 hours: 50% refund
  • No-show: No refund

4. Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure circumstances including but not limited to:

  • Government restrictions or lockdowns
  • Natural disasters
  • Acts of terrorism
  • Marine emergencies
  • Port closures
  • Other circumstances beyond Company's control

Customers will receive a full credit valid for 24 months or a full refund at their discretion.

5. Refund Processing

5.1 Timeline

  • Credit card refunds: 5-10 business days
  • Bank transfer refunds: 3-5 business days
  • Cash/cheque refunds: Same day processing

5.2 Processing Fees

  • Administrative fee: 10% (where applicable)
  • Credit card processing fee: 2.9% (if applicable)
  • International transfer fee: $25 CAD

6. Dispute Resolution

Consumer Protection Rights:

This policy is governed by British Columbia consumer protection laws. Customers have the right to:

  • File complaints with Consumer Protection BC
  • Seek resolution through the Civil Resolution Tribunal of British Columbia
  • Contact the Better Business Bureau
